While working hard in social studies, we learned all about the 3 branches of government. Miss Cowell taught us all about the constitution and how it was formed. She even allowed us all to write our own class constitutions! Some things that we wish were required by law that we wrote were: never having homework; only going to school one week at a time, with two weeks off in between; teachers have to follow the kids' rules; and that students get paid to go to school, to name a few. Miss Coddington continued the lesson and taught us about the 3 branches of government. After reading about each, we made some creative, yet informative, foldables about the legislative, executive, and judicial branches. Miss Coddington challenged the students with a homework assignment to represent the various branches in the most creative and informative way possible, and the top three would receive a prize. She chose the three students below for their creative and informative foldables. Each student received an autographed Stetson Basketball poster, along with a goody bag of awesome school supplies :-)
